For one of Bleed´s favorite clients The National Theater in Oslo, I made the visuals for The Ibsen Festival 2010. Collaborating with our good friend and photographer Knut Bry, making illustrations capturing Ibsen´s capacity for drama and humor. Everybody loves a jumping guy!

Launch of new bleed and lots of other work made me neglect this site the last months of the year. Bleed is my main project and will always have full focus. Now that it also have a blog and gives possibilities for less “official” postings, a lot that normally would have been posted here, will end up there.

But that said; stuff will still be posted!

Bleed designstudio is searching for experienced and/or talented front-end developers to join us in creating ground-breaking websites for national and international clients.

Requirements:

You have strong skills in object oriented AS3 development, and experience from developing dynamic all-flash websites.
You have strong skills in XHTML, Javascript and CSS, and always deliver slick, standards compliant code that renders pixel perfect.
You know your way around javascript frameworks like Prototype, jQuery and YUI, and have experience with developing AJAX enabled websites.
You have several years of experience, preferably from a design-focused environment like our own.
You enjoy working in teams, but are also self-managed if needed and can interact with clients in a professional way.
You are experienced in writing information specifications based on client meetings, and technical specifications based on design sketches.
You know the theories and rules, but you’re pragmatic and know when to break them

Added value:

You are a skilled PHP developer, experienced in developing customized web applications, and know your way around a Linux based environment.
You can harness the strengths of open-source PHP frameworks like Symphony, Zend or similar, and/or open-source CMS or blog-systems, to rapidly develop backends for small-/medium-sized websites.

After a long time looking we have finally secured new, bigger, better and cooler offices for Bleed. There is a lot of building to be done yet, but a huge industrial space, lot of windows and 6m high ceilings is a very good start. Maybe we will see you at the opening-party in september…

5 awards for Bleed at European Design Awards!

Bleed received 1 gold and 4 bronze prizes at the European design award 2009! Gold was awarded for our work with BeyondRisør in the category Brand Implementation and bronze was awarded for our Damien Hirst poster, Bleed exhibition, BeyondRisør poster and Snøhetta website.

8 awards for Bleed at Visuelt 2009!

Last Friday Bleed won two gold, two silver and four diplomas at Visuelt, Norway´s largest competition for graphic design. We’re all very happy! It´s rewarding to be appreciated for our wide range of work.

Gold for the Snøhetta web and for our own exhibition Follow Your Inner Moonlight; Don’t Hide the Madness. Silver for the ALU catalouge and for the Minna Hannila web. Diplomas for The National Theatre newspaper, Damien Hirst poster, Beyond Risør identity and for Pepsi Max Fan Guide webpage.

Here’s the jury comment on Snøhetta “A masterpiece in craftsmanship, where the solution is intuitive, relevant and elegant. It’s all perfect. A clear winner!” And the jury on Follow Your Inner Moonlight; “A brilliant example on a inspiring self-promotional project and an attitude that on it’s own is enough for gold – and the execution is strong. This project should be inspiring for the whole industry, and we urge everyone else to do something like it.”

I contributed with the gold for Snøhetta and my part of the gold winning exhibition together with my amazing colleges!
